Seventh Flight Charter

Purpose

In this charter you should find all Information you need to raid with the Seventh Flight

Loot distribution
For a detailed insight into our loot system, head to viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4720 for an introduction with examples.

Alt looting, Offspecc looting

Alt looting:
Alts are currently only allowed into our raids if they help us out (e.g. providing us with a key class that we lack for a fight) or on safe farm bosses. Therefore they are subject to special loot rules:

+) Mains have priority
+) Only points have to be paid (No suicide)
+) Item price is 1/4 of the usual item price.
+) The main's points are used
+) If two alts want an item, the one with the highest points gets it

Offspecc looting:
+) Offspec is whatever spec you aren't in right now.
+) You can't change spec more than 1/month
+) The same rules as for alt looting apply:
+) Mains have priority
+) Only points have to be paid (No suicide)
+) Item price is 1/4 of the usual item price.
+) If two people want an item, the one with the highest points gets it

To better handle this additional looting and to reduce the leeway for mistakes to happen, a 2-staged looting will take place from now on.
This means:
As soon as loot drops it gets announced “[item XY] –me in raid” This is the call for regular looting for regular point cost and suicide.
If noone wants the item, it gets announced again “2 nd round: [item XY] –me in raid”. This is the call for alt looting / offspecc looting, etc…

Keep in mind, if you speak up during the first call you will have to pay Full Points and Suicide for it. So pay attention to the looting if you are interested!

Standby Status

Postby Jemaius » Mon Jun 30, 2008 10:41 am

Standby Status
In the event of a raid being full, some people may find themselves without a spot in the raid. While this is rotated by the "Halo System", people sitting outside of the raid nevertheless have an option to earn some reward for showing up. Standby is entirely optional, and you must explicitly state you wish to be on standby each time.

Prerequisites
In order to qualify for standby status, a person must not be able to get a raid spot on a particular occasion due to a full raid. It is only valid for people who are on-time for invites, and properly signed for the raid. That means if you are late and/or unsigned (or signed as not available), you will not be able to earn points using standby. Who has to sit out during a raid will still be decided by the raidlead using the Halo System as a help.

Duties
Once on standby, you must be available for raid within five minutes, should we need you. You may be in-game or logged out. In any case, you may not take part in any activity you cannot immediately quit. Literally. The "within five minutes" means from when we contact you to you being in raid. If you choose to go somewhere in a group, make it perfectly clear that you may have to leave at a moment's notice before you join the group. If you are going to take part in PvP combat, ensure you know how to immediately clear your PvP flag. We will not wait for it to expire, and bringing PvP to raid is a big no-no.

You should also ensure we have proper means to contact you out-of-game, both if you log out but also if you remain in-game (so we can call you if you're afk).

Rewards
If you choose go to on standby, you will earn SKP as if you were participating in the raid. However, you will not progress on any of the loot lists (apart from positions gained due to the change in points, should that be the case). Furthermore, in the event of someone dropping out of raid, you will be invited with priority over other potential replacements (should they not be on standby as well).

Catch 22s
Standby is a promise from you that you really can participate in raid as soon as we need you, should we need you. If you, for some reason, do not show up when called, SKP will be deducted from your total. The amount deducted will be based on how many points you have earned using standby.

You may cancel your standby status by messaging the raidlead. Standby is cancelled when s/he acknowledges (so make sure that happens). You may not cancel standby after your presence has been requested for the raid; such an event would be considered tantamount to not showing up for raid. Cancelling standby will not award you any standby points for the current raid, but has no ramifications otherwise.

Summary of Point Earning Methods (All numbers for on-time people)
    * Raid: 6 SKP/hour + ev. bonus, positions on loot lists
    * Standby: 6 SKP/hour + ev. bonus
    * Sit out: 6 SKP

I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.
