Phase 1

Troll form. Venoxis has 3 abilities, and 4 snake adds.

Holy Nova - An AE attack.
Reverse Chain Holy - The most dangerous of the phase 1 abilities. It connects to those in melee range and those close by, increasing the damage it deals at each jump rather than decreasing.
RegrowthNot much can be done to stop this, save draining some mana. Merely increases the time in phase 1.

The tank first pulls Venoxis to behind the bonfire, and each snake add is sleep/sheeped until one remains. Each is killed away from Venoxis, until only he remains. Next, all players, aside from the main tank, attack Venoxis from range. It's too risky to go into melee with him, due to his reverse chain holy spell. I've witnessed it hit several castes for over 10k damage...

Venoxis' mana is drained and the fight continues until he gets close to 50% health. At this point the group needs to be ready to stop attacking at the moment Venoxis shifts into snake form.

Phase 2

Snake Form. This naga-like form has 2 new abilities, as well as increasing Venoxis damage and decreasing his health.

Poison Cloud - Every so often Venoxis will drop a cloud of poison, which deals 500 damage per second. The main tank needs to be ready to move at any moment, and other melee classes should also be wary. Poison resistance gear is useful here, and Druids must be ready to cleanse poisons at a moments notice.
Parasite Snakes - In phase 2 small translucent snakes will spawn. They have low health, but are hard to see. They will run up to a player and get inside them, giving them a nasty DoT (Damage over time) effect. At the start of phase one a hunter, usually me, will use Volley to ensure the main tank doesn't get a snake. Other hunters should use multishot whenever they can to hit any new snakes. These snakes stop spawning once Venoxis is dead, but usually one or two will stay alive after the fight.

Once Venoxis turn into a snake everyone stops their ranged attacks. The main tank is given 3/4 seconds to get aggro again, and we duke him down. The only difficult part of this phase is keeping the main tank alive. As long as parasite snakes are killed, poisons cleansed and the main tank moves out of poison clouds, Venoxis will be dead in less than a minute, with no other deaths. Melee classes can attack Venoxis in close combat in this phase, but should be aware that they won't get much healing, as it will be focused on the main tank.

As long as the main tank is alive through to about 25% health Venoxis can be kited and killed after the tank dies, due to his low health. Stack Curse of Doom on him just incase the tank does die.
