The Class Representatives present a unified voice for the class. Their tasks include moderating the class forums, collect concerns and issues for the class, present class guides & strategies, organise class' bank requests and handle the selection of applicants in a class.
There is no benefit for holding such a position (like there is no benefit for holding any other SF position) except the warm feeling that you're helping out. Oh, and salvation from my eternal wrath.
